Who we are

Traducción de Documentos Panamá (traducciondocumentospanama.com) provides official English ↔ Spanish translation in the Republic of Panama. We are responsible for the data you send us through this site. Contact: WhatsApp +507 6618-7555.

What data we collect

When you fill in the quote form we collect: name, WhatsApp number, email (optional), document type, language pair, number of pages, delivery speed, whether you need apostille help, the date you need it by, the calculator estimate, your message or comments, and the name of the file you selected. Along with the request we record the page it was sent from, the date and time, the browser type and the approximate country of the connection, to handle it and to prevent automated (spam) submissions.

Your document is not uploaded to this site. You send the file yourself on WhatsApp; the site only keeps its name.

How we use it

We use your data only to prepare your quote, contact you about your request and provide the translation service you order. We do not use it for advertising and do not combine it with other databases.

Where it is stored and who sees it

Requests are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare, the provider that hosts this site. Each new request is notified internally by WhatsApp to the translator or team handling it. Only the people working on your translation have access to your data and documents. Messages and files you send us on WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's terms.

We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We would only share it if a competent authority requires it under the law.

Confidentiality of your documents

We treat every document as confidential. We use it only to translate it, do not share it with anyone outside the job, and keep it only as long as needed to deliver the translation and handle corrections or questions about it. You can ask us to delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep your request data while it is needed to handle it and to meet legal or accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymize it. You can ask for deletion at any time.

Your rights (Law 81 of 2019)

Panama's Law 81 of March 26, 2019, on Personal Data Protection (in Spanish) and its regulation (Executive Decree 285 of 2021) give you the rights of:

  • Access: to know what data we hold, where it came from and what it is used for.
  • Rectification: to correct inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data.
  • Cancellation: to ask us to delete your data.
  • Objection: to refuse a specific processing or withdraw your consent.
  • Portability: to receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.

To exercise them, message us on WhatsApp at +507 6618-7555 with your name and your request. If you believe we did not handle it properly, you can contact Panama's National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).

Cookies and third-party services

This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics or tracking tools. It only stores in your browser (local storage) your light or dark theme preference, if you change it. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google servers when opening the page; and Cloudflare, as hosting and security provider, processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to serve and protect the site.
